Position

The Head of Network Revenue Optimization & Commercial Steering will lead the Network Revenue Optimization function, serving as the central “control tower” for the company's commercial performance across its global network. This role is responsible for maximizing network-wide revenue outcomes by aligning Revenue Management, Network Planning, and market-facing teams to achieve sustained improvements in RASK, PRASK, and overall network profitability.

The successful candidate will combine deep analytical expertise with commercial execution, translating complex network and revenue insights into clear market actions that drive Country Commercial Plans. This position will require influencing key capacity, pricing, and market decisions and ensuring that regional strategies are optimized at a network level, delivering measurable and data-backed impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Revenue Optimization:

    • Define and lead the Network Revenue Optimization strategy.
    • Partner with RM leadership to develop capacity and pricing strategies.
    • Lead the development of network peak calendars and performance tracking.
    • Identify revenue gaps and performance variances through data analysis.
    • Oversee implementation of network changes ensuring alignment on forecasts and pricing.
    • Monitor competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities.
    • Drive optimization strategies for codeshare and alliance performances.
  • Commercial Steering:

    • Translate network and revenue insights into actionable strategies.
    • Design and oversee the development of Country Commercial Plans.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment and execute commercial priorities effectively.
    • Act as the central coordination point for global commercial initiatives.
    • Provide strategic direction on market prioritization and commercial execution plans.
  • Leadership and Team Scope:

    • Lead an integrated NRO & Commercial Steering function.
    • Manage a team of senior managers and analysts, promoting a high-performance culture.
    • Collaborate across Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
    • Advise senior commercial leadership on strategic direction and execution priorities.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience within airline commercial functions.
  • Deep expertise in Revenue Management with exposure to Network Planning.
  • Proven experience in data-driven environments, translating analytics into commercial outcomes.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills essential for influencing at senior leadership levels.
  • Airline industry experience is required.
