About the Role
Ready to shape operational delivery across Risk and Compliance in IWPB? We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Performance and Delivery IWPB. The role will be primarily based in the UAE, where the principal workplace will support day-to-day responsibilities, operational requirements, and ongoing business activities.

The Role
Risk and Compliance is the company's Second Line of Defence, providing independent review and challenge to help ensure risks are managed under the Group risk framework. This role sits within the Risk & Compliance COO function - the execution arm of the Risk & Compliance strategy - accountable for how the function operates as an effective resilient and well-governed enterprise capability aligned to regulatory expectations and business strategy. Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Chief Operating Officer with entity reporting to the CRCO IWPB this role provides strategic and operational accountability for performance and delivery across IWPB UAE. You’ll shape the Risk & Compliance operating model for IWPB, coordinate an end-to-end programme of strategic initiatives, and strengthen governance standards, controls, and reporting. Success means timely and consistent decision-making, clear forums and accountability, and well-executed delivery that supports IWPB Risk leadership. You’ll also provide dedicated support to the CRCO IWPB across governance, prioritisation, resources, and cost matters.

What You'll Be Doing

• Shape the strategy and design of the Risk & Compliance operating model for IWPB
• Set up and run governance standards and business management disciplines, including decision-making forums and consistent reporting
• Oversee the design and execution of strategic initiatives across IWPB, partnering with R&C OpCo-1 and Transformation
• Manage day-to-day operational requirements including people strategy, processes, resourcing, and strategy execution
• Build and maintain control structures and performance scorecards to measure and monitor operational performance
• Partner with Group Risk & Compliance teams on operational processes including financial planning, data governance, and operational resilience
• Provide integrated strategic and operational support to the CRCO IWPB, covering prioritisation, governance, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight
• Maintain engagement with regulators and internal and external audit activity where required

What We're Looking For

• A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. For degrees obtained outside the UAE, valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory
• Bring substantial experience in Chief of Staff, Global Business Management, or Chief Operating Office roles within the company
• Demonstrate established experience working across risk and business roles within financial services
• Show a strong track record shaping and delivering strategic initiatives and complex programmes across multiple stakeholders and operating models
• Apply strong governance and business management capability, including forums, controls, reporting, and performance oversight
• Influence effectively across first line, senior management, second line, audit, and regulators to deliver sub-function and business objectives
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of operational risk management and advanced risk management techniques
• Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities while sustaining delivery across organisational complexity
• Bring familiarity with Cloud and other innovative technologies and applications
