We are seeking a Head of Platform and Infrastructure to cater to our developer’s needs by owning all aspects of infrastructure and driving the platform that our delivery teams rely on daily.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability of our infrastructure.
- Assist our delivery teams in achieving autonomy, spotting and alleviating blockers, and establishing the right tools and processes while providing coaching.
- Oversee the development of the various platforms that engineers depend on and cultivate a world-class developer experience.
- Contribute to a Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
- Hire exceptional engineering talents and scale our tech team across Europe and the Middle East.
- Foster the company's technical culture, ensuring the success and personal growth of our engineers while raising the bar for technical excellence.
- Review product architectures and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with the product team to plan and oversee the execution of the product roadmap and contribute to future development strategies.
Experience and Skills
- 15+ years of experience in IT, focusing on infrastructure.
- Experience in a head of infrastructure or head of platform role, or a similar senior-level position within an engineering department.
- Proven track record in building platform teams.
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, continuous delivery, and DevSecOps practices.
- Deep understanding of platform architecture and platform mechanics.
- Ability to translate complex strategic issues into a technology product roadmap.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Experience in a rapidly growing company in the mobility, on-demand, or fintech sectors is a plus.
- BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field.
