Head of Risk Architecture and Data Management

This is a Senior Manager role within Group Risk Management and reports directly to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management Group. The Head of Risk Architecture and Data Management role supports a strategic function within Group Risk Management and provides technical leadership and project management support in implementing rating models and scorecards. The role requires independent thinking, strong communication, initiative, and interaction with all stakeholders within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive Data Management Framework (DMF) for managing risk data, including data capturing, organizing, storing, and analyzing for development, validation, and implementation of Risk Rating Models and scorecards.
• Oversee and lead the implementation of policies, procedures, and systems designed to organize and structure the management of data employed for modeling.
• Analyze and validate data, ensuring data security and quality.
• Prepare detailed project plans to schedule key project milestones, workstreams, and activities, managing resources and teams as well as tracking projects and providing regular reports to key stakeholders.
• Act as SCRUM Master to manage timelines, resolve problems, and coach team members on AGILE methodologies.
• Lead Project Management Office for ERM Risk IT projects implementation and perform vendor and resource management.
• Implement a data management process for systematic identification of data sources, ensuring rigorous data quality review and control, secure storage, and controlled access.
• Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data.
• Report and present project status updates to key stakeholders and the Steering Committee of the Company.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in Risk Management with at least 5 years in a managerial role leading in Basel, IFRS9, Risk Architecture, Risk Analytics, and credit modeling.
• An undergraduate/graduate degree in a quantitative discipline from a reputable university such as Mathematics, Computer Information Science, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Excellent Project Management, Basel, Risk modeling, Big Data, SCRUM, Agile, and Data Science skills.
• Strong knowledge of risk governance frameworks and prudential regulations, including the Basel Accord.
• Advanced user of statistical software (SAS/Python/R) and experience of managing large and complex data sets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and/or projects while delivering under pressure.
