Position

The role will be responsible for assisting the Head of Strategy with end-to-end strategic planning for the company. This includes providing professional input and direction to the company's strategy, working with various cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and analyze evolving strategic priorities, setting strategic objectives, and monitoring the delivery of the company’s strategy. This position requires working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially on the business side, risk management, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Strategy to own the company’s Strategic Agenda, including full understanding of the company’s strategy and the specific milestones and key performance indicators to track, report, and support the delivery of the strategy.
  • Work in collaboration with various business functions in the company to ensure that both tactical and strategic decisions align with the overall direction set by the Executive team and the Board under the 5-year Strategy.
  • Monitor and report delivery against objectives.
  • Develop and refine the annual 5-year corporate planning process.
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops and meetings.
  • Prepare presentations and papers for ExCom and Board-level consumption.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic projects.
  • Support the Head of Strategy with updates to senior management on key market developments through structured market intelligence.
  • Identify relevant external market developments and macroeconomic events that create opportunities and risks in relation to the strategy.
  • Actively ensure that the Digital and AI Strategy and Transformation are on track.

Requirements

  • Experienced in preparing and presenting strategic business plans.
  • Understanding of financial modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Proven experience in strategy development and corporate planning (Retail Banking specific background an advantage).
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to engage a wide range of stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of banking products and services as well as key financial metrics and KPIs that drive value creation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities.
