Head of Technical Platforms and Architecture

The individual will be responsible for overseeing teams focused on Integration, Data and Emerging Platforms (Gen AI), Testing CoE, DevSecOps, SRE, and Partner Integration. The role aims to provide leadership, vision, and direction for these functions within the company. This position is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent, ensuring the software engineering staff possesses the skills and capabilities to meet business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and communicating the strategy, roadmap, and goals in alignment with the business vision and objectives.
• Establishing and enforcing software engineering, Integration, DevSecOps, and Testing standards, processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure quality, reliability, security, and performance.
• Managing the software engineering budget, resources, and timelines to ensure timely and effective delivery of products and services.
• Collaborating with senior leaders, stakeholders, and customers to align software engineering solutions with their needs.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices and emerging technologies.

Specialist Skills/Technical Knowledge Required:

• Strong leadership and talent management skills including coaching and mentoring.
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent understanding of software development methodologies including DevSecOps, Testing, and SRE across platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Language Requirements: The job may require proficiency in English, as it is commonly used for communication in business environments in the UAE.
