This role involves working closely with the Process Excellence, Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA), Business Finance, and Value Realisation Office (VRO) teams, ensuring robust governance, data-driven decision making, integrated execution, independently verified benefits realization, and continuous improvement across the organization. The successful candidate will champion and oversee the successful integration of transformation initiatives, utilizing capabilities such as change management, lean six sigma, task mining, and process mining, alongside innovation capabilities in collaboration with Information Technology and various business stakeholders. The aim is to achieve tangible and measurable improvements across customer experience, operations, and financial performance that the business owns and sustains.

Accountabilities

  • Own and maintain the transformation roadmap for the assigned strategic pillar across all involved business units.
  • Shape and qualify transformation opportunities through evidence-based problem definition and value assessment.
  • Establish clear sponsorship, governance, resources, milestones, and decision rights.
  • Lead priority cross-functional initiatives from mobilization through implementation and stabilization.
  • Track financial, operational, customer, and people benefits with Business Finance, EDA, and VRO; validate benefits before approval and reconcile them with delivered results.
  • Transfer new capabilities and improved processes into the business with clear operational ownership.
  • Run stage-gate reviews with the VRO, escalating material delivery or value risks and stopping, resetting, or reprioritizing initiatives where necessary.
  • Embed the strategic roadmap into annual planning, budgeting, and executive scorecards, applying the Group transformation playbook and standards.
  • Direct embedded Transformation Partners and external advisors, ensuring knowledge transfer, capability building, and a strong national talent pipeline.
  • Operate within clear boundaries: Strategy sets direction, Transformation orchestrates delivery and value assurance, and business leaders remain accountable for outcomes.

Education and Qualifications

  • 10 years of job-related experience, including leading transformation programmes and teams.
  • Experience in business transformation consulting (preferred) or internal transformation advisory and structured problem-solving in asset-intensive and operationally complex industries.
  • Commercial airline experience (preferred), ideally with deep functional expertise relevant to the role (e.g., Customer Experience, Operations, MRO, Digital & AI, Retail).
  • Documented ownership of large, cross-functional transformation initiatives in a complex organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering measurable financial, operational, or customer outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in benchmarking performance, measuring transformation success, and refining initiatives based on lessons learned.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders at a leadership level, including the capability to influence and challenge without direct authority.
  • Experience working across international or culturally diverse organizations.
  • Relevant change, lean six sigma, or process excellence certification (preferred).
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and coach multi-disciplinary teams, including national talent.
