About the Role
The Head of Typhoon Technical Support Service (TTSS) is responsible for leading the governance and management of the TTSS organization in delivering Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Services (CAMSS), Technical Support, Reliability, and associated activities within the Salam Typhoon operating environment. This role ensures that accurate and compliant technical data and support outputs are provided to the customer. As a Nominated Post Holder/Form 4 holder, the Head of TTSS establishes and maintains processes, procedures, controls, and assurance arrangements to guarantee the reliability and safety of operations.

Job Accountabilities
- Ensure effective leadership, governance, and assurance of TTSS activities, including compliance with CAME, M&CA Mandates, Maintenance Mandates, and contractual obligations.
- Establish and improve TTSS processes and procedures to deliver delegated CAMSS and technical support scope.
- Control and review TTSS CAME content, ensuring appropriate governance for any changes.
- Manage the local governance framework, including controlled processes, terms of reference, and competence arrangements.
- Provide technical advice and analysis for Customer continuing airworthiness activities and maintenance programs.
- Coordinate inputs to maintenance program recommendations and monitor effectiveness.
- Ensure planned and controlled airworthiness reviews are delivered to the Customer.
- Oversee modifications, repairs, and other technical instructions related to continuing airworthiness.
- Liaise with Design Organisations and stakeholders to support modifications and repairs.
- Provide strategic fleet planning advice and assess known defects and trends for impacts on airworthiness.
- Manage interfaces with Line and Base Maintenance to ensure compliance and support for maintenance activities.
- Monitor and improve TTSS performance through review and audit findings.
- Lead and develop TTSS personnel, ensuring competence and compliance with safety and accountability measures.
- Act as a member of the Salam Operations Senior Leadership Team to support business objectives.
Recruitment Specification
Essential
- HND or Degree in a relevant technical discipline acceptable to M&CA.
- Current or lapsed Part 66 license or suitable equivalent technical license.
- Extensive practical maintenance/CA experience with a formal background in a relevant CA environment.
- Experience in a relevant management role.
- Proficiency in English.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer membership with relevant professional bodies.
- Experience with Typhoon aircraft, including specific training or familiarization.
- Background in senior military aviation support or governance roles.
