You will coordinate regional ViR activity including Valuation 2 and 3 submissions and support the Regional CFO during resolution scenarios. Additionally, you will own end-to-end scenario generation across key forecasting and stress testing exercises including regulatory stress tests, recovery planning, and reverse stress testing. Success in this role means producing clear, well-governed submissions, well-constructed scenarios that reflect emerging risks, and quantitative outputs that withstand senior forum and regulatory scrutiny.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee MENAT ViR coordination and deliver complete, timely submissions aligned to regional and Group governance.
  • Execute Valuation 2 and 3 runbooks to support annual attestation of adequate ViR capabilities to the Bank of England and local regulators.
  • Provide timely financial information and forward-looking analysis to support the Regional CFO during resolution scenarios.
  • Own economic valuation review and develop forward-looking financials to inform restructuring and management actions.
  • Set scenario design across forecasting and stress testing activity including regulatory stress tests, GIST/EWST, FRP, reverse stress testing, recovery planning, and ad-hoc exercises.
  • Partner with Risk, Finance, and Business teams to identify key vulnerabilities in the MENAT business model and reflect material and emerging risk themes in scenarios.
  • Deliver end-to-end quantitative stress testing and scenario analysis across Group exercises including GIST, recovery planning stress testing, FRP sensitivity analysis, risk appetite stress testing, and internal climate scenario analysis.
  • Present and defend scenarios, outcomes, and recommended actions to senior forums and stakeholders including the regional CFO and CRO, FMM, and regulators.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and supporting documentation including recovery plan materials, ICAAPs, templates, and methodological documentation.
  • Govern a robust control framework ensuring controls are executed, evidenced, reported, and submissions meet timeliness and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

  • A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. Valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory for degrees obtained outside the UAE.
  • Strong background and understanding of ViR and RAF (Resolvability Assessment Framework) frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of stress testing and economics in bank management and regulatory engagement.
  • Good understanding of capital and liquidity management.
  • Evidence of quantitative capability to produce analysis and/or perform effective QA over others’ outputs.
  • Sound judgment in assessing risk to the bank and within own operations and advising on risk management actions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective control framework aligned to Group standards and functional instruction manuals.
  • Ability to communicate and influence credibly with senior management, Board-level stakeholders, and regulators.
  • Proven forecasting and business analysis experience within a global organization and a clear grasp of the key drivers of reported results.
  • Track record of improving processes and strengthening outputs through standardization, efficiency, and technology.

Shaping MENAT’s Scenario Outcomes
This role sits at the intersection of quantitative analysis and real-world decision-making, encompassing resolvability readiness through to stress testing and climate scenarios. You will help ensure that MENAT’s scenarios are robust, well-governed, and actionable while building alignment across Finance, Risk, and the business. If you're eager to impact resilience, regulatory outcomes, and senior decision-making across the region, we encourage you to pursue this opportunity.
