An experienced Director – Healthcare Costing is sought for a 9-month opportunity in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of activity-based costing (ABC) models within a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Apply DRG methodologies to support hospital costing, pricing, reimbursement, and financial analysis.
- Assess patient- and procedure-level costs, including the allocation of direct and indirect costs.
- Analyze service-line and procedure-level profitability and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
- Evaluate and support revenue cycle management processes, including coding, billing, claims, and reimbursement.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, and technology stakeholders to identify and validate data requirements for costing models.
- Translate complex costing and financial data into practical insights to support management decision-making.
- Provide senior-level guidance on healthcare costing methodologies, financial performance, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare finance, costing, or financial performance, ideally within a hospital or healthcare provider.
- Demonstrated experience developing or implementing activity-based costing (ABC) models.
- Strong understanding of DRG methodologies and their application to hospital costing, pricing, and reimbursement.
- Experience in revenue cycle management, including coding, billing, claims, and reimbursement processes.
- Hands-on experience analyzing patient- and procedure-level costs, including the allocation of direct and indirect costs.
- Experience assessing service-line or procedure-level profitability and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively across clinical, finance, and technology teams to define costing data requirements and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication capabilities appropriate for a Director-level role.
