Responsibilities:
- Support the completion of Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers.
- Assess high-risk customer transaction activity to ensure it aligns with the nature of the business.
- Conduct risk assessments on new and existing customers.
- Lead projects related to EDD enhancements.
- Stay updated on global EDD standards (e.g., FATF) and local requirements in operating regions.
- Provide subject matter expertise in AML/CFT.
- Manage high-risk customer escalations from the first line of defense and other business units.
- Draft documentation including policies, programs, procedures, guidance documents, training materials, and impact assessments.
Requirements:
- ACAMS, ACFCS, or other industry-leading certification is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with global Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and EDD requirements.
- Understanding of AML/CTF and sanctions risks.
- Familiarity with global licensing requirements related to financial services and crypto businesses.
- Experience with complex beneficial ownership structures.
- Excellent communication, analytical, logical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required for coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders. Additional languages would be an advantage.
