Key Responsibilities

• Deploy appropriate safety and environmental procedures to ensure a safe working environment for the team.
• Research, design, and develop new equipment.
• Develop and implement standards for processes.
• Configure and optimize end-to-end industrial processes, from ideation to certification.
• Manage cost and time constraints in operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external protocols and regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments of the equipment and processes used.
• Collect data, write reports, and present findings to senior management.
• Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
• Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.
• Assemble reports to document any changes in process products.
• Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.
• Communicate findings and proposals to upper management.
• Utilize process simulation software to test and identify the most effective production strategies.
• Provide thorough instructions for the successful implementation of process changes.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
• Contribute to departmental efforts by assisting with related tasks as needed.
• Work towards achieving zero losses and zero waste on specified lines.
• Create operational, technical, and loss methodology standards across all line activities.
• Train line operators, create development plans for them, and assess their capabilities.
• Perform data analysis for losses according to the MMP Code.
• Conduct day-to-day follow-up on line performance and loss reporting.
• Participate in trials and industrial testing of new packaging materials, raw materials, and finished products.
• Engage in projects aimed at upgrading existing equipment and procuring new machinery.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) with a strong technical background.
• Excellent analytical and math skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Coaching skills and the ability to foster team development.
• Basic technical knowledge with an ability to learn advanced technical concepts.
• Data analytics skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proven problem identification, assessment, and solving abilities.
• Proficient in computer usage and information technology.
• Knowledge of process engineering software systems.
• Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in loss elimination.
• Relevant production experience.
• Proficiency in using simulation tools to analyze production line stoppages.
