About the Role
The company is hiring a Hook-Up Specialist to work in the Operations Department, responsible for supporting and coordinating all EIC Precom activities, both onshore and offshore. The Hook-Up Specialist will manage vendors and subcontractors while maintaining a strong relationship with the client. This role entails developing technical requisitions for materials and equipment required for hook-up activities, as well as preparing for offshore hook-up campaigns by producing job cards, material trackers, tie-in lists, and comprehensive activity lists.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize, coordinate, and control the execution of electrical and instrumentation works, whether by subcontractors or direct hires, ensuring effective interface management with all construction disciplines and engineering departments.
- Oversee the availability of construction materials and equipment, while verifying that work is completed correctly in accordance with project documentation and schedules.
- Prepare Electrical, Instrument and Communication (EIC) test packs, loop files, etc., required for the pre-commissioning package.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.
- Execute safe commissioning, start-up, and maintenance on electrical equipment, adhering to HSE rules, legislative regulations, and international standards.
- Promote leadership in safety attitudes.
- Verify that commissioning and start-up requirements are incorporated into engineering documents.
- Review vendor schedules and assignments concerning commissioning, start-up, and test run activities.
Tasks
- Define the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Execution Plan.
- Ensure all activities comply fully with HSE requirements.
- Acknowledge the involvement of the job role in the PTW system and verify safety measures described in the PTW for the role, including area preparation and restoration.
- Identify, report, and follow up on risks within the area of responsibility.
- Identify and control hazards to avoid damage to equipment, personnel, and the environment.
- Supervise Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Start-up activities according to approved procedures and issue reports.
- Support specialists and vendors during the execution of activities.
- Ensure services are carried out in strict compliance with current HSE rules.
- Participate in site coordination meetings.
- Prepare Maintenance reports for submission.
- Ensure the movement of spare parts meets requirements.
- Generate appropriate reporting on progress and difficulties encountered.
- Set up tools for managing punch lists and produce reports to monitor their status (open, closed, closure forecast dates).
- Plan activities related to punch list management and perform walkthroughs.
- Ensure that punch lists issued after walkthroughs are promptly notified and accurately recorded.
- Correctly classify punch lists and identify the owner for each item.
- Coordinate the assigned team while managing interfaces with engineering and construction teams to close punch lists.
- Negotiate with the client regarding punch lists and their classifications, in accordance with contractual scope of work and project requirements.
What Experience Would We Like You to Have?
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
- Previous experience in topsides construction activities.
- Ability to propose decisions on technical items, resources, and procurement.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in Offshore Construction as a Topside Pre-commissioning Electrical, Instrument, and Communication Engineer (EIC).
- Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project).
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
