About the Job: Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, software or solution specialists responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas. They collaborate with and support Account Managers while providing specialist expertise within the sales team. The role involves driving proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and driving their sales pipeline. Capture leads outside of specialization and use closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow-up by others.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in accounts to strategically position the company's products and services better.
  • Use specialty expertise to pursue new opportunities and enhance existing ones to drive sales.
  • Provide support to Account Managers and input regarding business development and solution expertise.
  • Develop quota objectives and future direction for the defined product category.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, including interactions up to the C-level for mid-to-large accounts.
  • Direct and coordinate supporting sales activities.

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • Directly related previous work experience
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quotas and experience with diverse business customers
  • Typically, 8-12 years of advanced sales experience
  • Project management skills required
  • 2-3 years of product sales experience in the desired specialty

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of products, solutions, or service offerings, as well as competitors' offerings
  • Account planning and accurate revenue forecasting skills
  • Ability to collaborate with management and sales teams in shared accounts
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers to ensure account retention and growth
  • High service or product knowledge and professionalism

Work Conditions:
