As an HPC Software Engineer, you will become part of a technically challenging computational domain that focuses on precision, efficiency, and automation. The role involves delivering a top-tier HPC experience across both bare metal and public cloud, primarily through Python software development aimed at automating key software in the HPC space. You will contribute to the deployment and management of HPC clusters and develop HPC software packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality, rigorously designed Python software.
  • Collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team.
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code.
  • Contribute to technical documentation that defines best practices for authoring high-quality operators.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in modern, maintainable Python.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for technology.
  • Familiarity with open-source environments and experience in high-performance computing (HPC) is advantageous.
  • Interest in two or more of the following technologies: Linux, Kubernetes, Public cloud, OpenStack, LXC/LXD, Go, Debian packaging.
  • Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.

Additional Skills That May Be Beneficial:

  • Experience in operating HPC clusters in production.
  • Familiarity with Infiniband, RDMA, CUDA, MPI, Slurm, Lustre, and/or Singularity.
