Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all site activities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, UAE labor laws, and organizational safety standards
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent workplace incidents and injuries
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures tailored to project requirements
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; analyze root causes and implement preventive measures
- Provide safety training and competency assessments to workers, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate effectively with site management, contractors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in safety management
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and safety consultants, as needed
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to track progress and identify trends
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in HSE engineering or site safety supervision
- Aldar approval will be an advantage
- Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC HSE regulations, labor laws, and industry standards
- Proven experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits
- Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Proficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures
- NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent HSE qualification (preferred)
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management standards (preferred)
