Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a HSE Manager (Arabic Speaker) to join our award-winning team based in Saudi Arabia. The HSE Manager will maintain effective operation and management of our Safety Management System on our mega project, providing HSE advice and information to staff and contractors to enhance health and safety standards on site.
Success in this role includes:
- Ensuring the effective implementation of the company's Safety Management System (SMS) on the project.
- Establishing relationships and promoting HSE issues with the Client, company Project Team, and Contractors.
- Maintaining current knowledge of HSE best practices and standards.
- Assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the SMS, and reviewing and recommending revisions to the Regional H&S Manager as necessary.
- Conducting HSE training based on training needs assessment and program for company employees on the project.
- Monitoring and reporting on HSE standards achieved by Contractors and maintaining statistical data for the Project.
- Ensuring effective incident reporting and investigation to determine root causes and provide recommendations aimed at preventing re-occurrence.
- Reviewing and analyzing project incident data and KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Conducting periodic inspections of the project for compliance and recommending changes where applicable.
- Managing and assigning duties for company Safety Officers.
- Reviewing contractor H&S documentation for compliance with relevant standards.
- Tracking the closure of H&S violation reports and inspection reports issued to the contractor.
- Chairing Project H&S Meetings and attending construction progress meetings.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, you should have a minimum of 15 years of career experience paired with a Bachelor of Science in Health, Safety & Environmental.
- An Arabic speaker is essential for this role.
- Chartered status with NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is required, along with project experience on mixed-use projects.
