What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement the company HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation along with other requirements, monitor HSE performance and targets, and suggest measures for improvement.
- Liaise with the Safety Manager and Contractors for the betterment and implementation of Corporate HSE Management ethics.
- Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable Safety measures and best practices.
- Review Hazard Analysis / Risk Assessment Plan for all key activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements at the site; conduct HSE visits and report to the Resident Engineer for immediate rectification.
- Review and monitor Contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings, set targets to address outstanding issues, and prepare/submit minutes to all concerned for follow-up.
- Review Emergency Preparedness and response, Permit to work system, Toolbox Talks, HSE meetings, HSE statistics, and records of the contractors according to company requirements.
- Review Incident/Accident investigation reports from contractors, communicate learning points, and monitor immediate and follow-up actions to minimize/prevent recurrence.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- A Degree or Diploma, preferably in Engineering or a relevant discipline from a recognized University.
- At least 8+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety within infrastructure-related projects.
- Recognized Health and Safety education, certifications (ADVETI), license or training in UAE (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHAD - Qudorat/ADOSH SF, First Aid, Fire Safety, ISO 45001, etc.).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- At least 2 years of recent experience in construction supervision of infrastructure work.
- Preferably experience working in an engineering consulting firm.
- Preferably with experience in the UAE and possession of a valid driving license.
