Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor the execution of HSE activities on a project to ensure requirements are met as per the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirements, while continually monitoring site activities regarding HSE.
  • Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans for safe evacuation.
  • Provide training to workers on HSE-related subjects including incident prevention, first aid, and safety awareness programs to increase understanding of HSE practices.
  • Daily identification of existing hazards and unsafe work conditions; raise observation reports, record corrective measures, and address violations.
  • Compile and provide data on daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track HSE performance.
  • Orient employees monthly on accident reporting procedures and conduct daily toolbox talks (TBT) regarding safety precautions prior to deployment.
  • Ensure all employees pass site induction training before commencing work and that the visitor/supplier induction program is effective with maintained daily logs.
  • Develop and communicate written risk assessments for each task before work begins, along with findings and recommendations to all relevant personnel.
  • Inspect and log all project-certified mobile plants and gear, HSE equipment, fire extinguishers, and site tools routinely.
  • Support HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company policies.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the industry, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, analyze contributing factors, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Skill in developing and delivering HSE training programs while promoting safety culture and environmental stewardship.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with management, employees, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably with SAP functional skills.

Job Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role, and 2 years in the GCC region preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
