What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement the company and Project HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements. Monitor HSE performance and targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
- Liaise with the Safety Manager and Contractors for the implementation of Project HSE Management requirements.
- Monitor contractors and their activities to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental measures and best practices.
- Review Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessment Plans and associated documents for key activities, monitor hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements on-site.
- Conduct HSE visits and report concerns to the Resident Engineer for immediate rectification.
- Review and monitor Contractors' monthly HSE inspections and reports.
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings, set targets to address outstanding issues, and prepare/submit minutes for follow-up.
- Review Emergency Preparedness and response plans, Permit to Work systems, Toolbox Talks, Daily Task Safety Talks, HSE meetings, and HSE statistics & records of the contractors according to project requirements.
- Review incident/accident investigation reports from contractors, communicate learning points, and monitor immediate and follow-up actions to minimize/prevent recurrence.
- Perform trend analysis to identify potential hazards.
- Review Emergency response/rescue plans and monitor drills.
- Perform other relevant tasks and duties associated with this position as needed.
- Work shifts and weekends as needed based on site requirements and contractor schedules to ensure adequate HSE coverage.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma (3 years) in any discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of related work experience in Health and Safety, particularly in Infrastructure, Tunneling, and/or Metro projects.
- Recognized Health and Safety certifications, licenses, or training in the UAE (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, Fire Safety, etc.).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality Codes of Practice or technical guidelines.
- Must possess a UAE driving license.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Preferably relevant experience working in an engineering consulting firm.
- Experience with elevated platforms, tunnels, or metro rail projects.
