HSE Senior Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled HSE professional to ensure full compliance with TAQA, ADOSH/ADPHC, and project HSE requirements at the site. This position demands a proactive approach to implement and maintain the Project HSE Plan, procedures, risk assessments, and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements. You will play a critical role in promoting a safe working environment and leading the charge in health, safety, and environmental management across various high-risk activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with TAQA, ADOSH/ADPHC, and project HSE requirements at site.
• Implement and maintain the Project HSE Plan, procedures, risk assessments, and PTW requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations, audits, and toolbox talks, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
• Monitor electrical, lifting, excavation, work at height, confined space, scaffolding, and other high-risk activities.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and control subcontractor HSE performance, ensuring compliance with approved HSE requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, statistics, KPIs, and performance updates, coordinating with the client and project management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant UAE HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, power, electrical, or utility projects.
• Proven experience in power transmission, distribution, substations, electrical networks, and associated civil works.
• Experience working on TAQA / Abu Dhabi utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of TAQA HSE requirements, ADOSH/ADPHC requirements, and UAE HSE legislation.
• Approved HSE Engineer in UAE (TAQA or similar).
• NEBOSH IGC certification.
• ISO 45001 and 14001 Lead Auditor certifications.
