Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Provide timely advice and guidance on Health, Safety, and Environment matters relating to legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
- Support a team of engineers in the delivery of company EPCM projects.
- Ensure visibility and interface of the HSE function, collaborating with team members and the wider business for high-performance delivery.
- Contribute to the development of the HSE Assurance Plan and conduct high-risk audits.
- Assist site management in preparing Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments, and method statements for various projects.
- Work with site management on the development, delivery, implementation, and maintenance of HSE policies and procedures.
- Prepare safety and environmental reports as required.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections per the Integrated Management system.
- Prepare and deliver training courses/toolbox talks to ensure knowledge of H&S requirements.
- Report to Line Management on HSE activities on site.
- Conduct loss event investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes.
- Provide HSE advice and direction to site management, staff, and contractors.
- Assist in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training for clients and employees.
- Share information and observations to create consistency throughout the company.
- Assist other team members with business unit audits and meet Occupational Health and Safety goals.
- Liaise with Health & Safety stewards to ensure workforce consultation and participation.
- Drive behavioral culture change programs.
- Manage relationships with clients' HSE teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in HSE.
- Solid understanding of organizational change.
- Excellent active listening skills and ability to articulate messages to various audiences.
- Effective engagement with senior leadership.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
- Resilient in working with challenging stakeholders averse to change.
- Strong team player capable of working collaboratively.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and document future state business processes and change impacts.
