About the Role
This position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, requiring 5 days of work per week with travel between sites. As an HSE Trainer, you will play a crucial role in building a safer workplace for employees and contractors by delivering a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) training program consisting of over 40 modules at two major industrial sites. The primary objective of each training session is to instigate lasting behavior changes, enabling individuals to identify hazards, voice concerns, halt unsafe work, and adhere to safe operational procedures on the shop floor.

What You'll Do
- Deliver 40+ safety modules that encompass general safety content and safety tool training in various settings including classroom, practical, and on-site environments.
- Gain familiarity with the client's tools and procedures through an induction, achieving sign-off on each module within the agreed timeframe.
- Adapt your delivery method to engage mixed audiences, including operators, technicians, contractors, and supervisors who possess varying levels of English proficiency and literacy.
- Employ facilitation techniques, real-life scenarios, and practical demonstrations to enhance participants' hazard awareness and promote safe decision-making.
- Coach learners to confront unsafe acts, utilize stop-work authority, and report near-miss incidents.
- Reinforce learning through follow-up sessions, toolbox talks, and on-site observations.
- Assess learner knowledge and practical competency while reporting behavior and learning trends to the Lead.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and completions in the Learning Management System (LMS), specifically PeopleFluent.
- Ensure training content aligns with company procedures, UAE federal regulations, and, for Abu Dhabi, ADOSH-SF requirements.
- Support Emiratisation initiatives by training and coaching UAE National employees.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering or Science.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or a similar recognized safety qualification.
- A background of 5 to 15 years in manufacturing operations or maintenance, including experience in safety management, HSE, or technical training delivery.
- Relevant experience within industrial sectors such as aluminium, steel, oil and gas, petrochemicals, or heavy manufacturing (candidates from other industrial sectors are also welcomed).
- A strong track record of delivering training to adult audiences on the shop floor.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
- A confident and engaging facilitation style, complemented by coaching skills that effectively influence on-site behavior.
- Proficient in using an LMS and Microsoft Office applications.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license and eligibility to live and work in the UAE.
- Preferred qualifications include IOSH and/or ISO 45001 certifications, ADOSH-SF OSH Practitioner registration (or eligibility), a Train the Trainer qualification, and experience with behavior-based safety programs.
