Responsibilities
- Conduct periodical safety rounds around the entire area of company premises to ensure a safe atmosphere and condition.
- Maintain safety and hygienic conditions in plant and warehouses, reporting any deviations.
- Ensure plant-related employees are wearing appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Check the safe operation and condition of machinery across the production area.
- Ensure the optimal condition of fire-fighting equipment through regular maintenance and refilling as necessary.
- Maintain necessary documents recording daily, weekly, and monthly Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) inspection activities.
- Monitor hot works to ensure they are conducted with appropriate permissions and in safe conditions.
- Coordinate with security in line with visitors’ movements, tracking entry and exit to company premises.
- Conduct safety and first-aid training for new recruits as needed.
- Participate in evacuation drills.
- Ensure unobstructed access to fire extinguishers and hose cabinets throughout the company.
- Implement fire preventive measures when necessary, especially during summer.
- Monitor the condition of drainage systems/canals and coordinate pest control activities with department heads.
- Oversee the cycle chart of the facility, including rooftop, walls, light shadows, and electrical panels.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of first-aid equipment and accessories.
- Provide first aid in case of accidents, if required.
- Follow up on the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety policies, programs, and procedures.
- Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
- Investigate and report on serious personal injury accidents involving staff, visitors, or contractors.
- Investigate accidents or incidents that result in substantial damage to company property.
- Address employee safety concerns promptly.
- Respond immediately to fires and other emergency situations.
- Coordinate registration and removal of any hazardous waste.
- Train personnel in areas of safety testing, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention, investigation, and workplace inspections.
- Assist executive staff, senior administrators, and the HSE team leader during emergencies.
- Conduct operational risk assessments on site and design risk mitigation measures.
- Generate and maintain all required reports related to the HSE management system, including corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Provide HSE improvement proposals detailing non-conformance, proposed corrective actions, required resources for corrective actions, and implementation plans.
