Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a front office, client-centric role.
  • Work on complex projects for clients across the Middle East, North Africa, and globally.
  • Contribute to developing new ideas that help clients meet their strategic and financial objectives.
  • Apply analytical skills to solve problems in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Manage projects and participate in executing live transactions and pitches.
  • Attend team discussions and client meetings, delivering components of presentations.
  • Tasks will vary by project, potentially including evaluation of companies, financial analysis, developing models for M&A and capital markets transactions, preparing industry analyses for pitches, conducting research, project management and administration, and supporting live deal execution.
  • Learn from experienced colleagues locally and offshore, evolve professionally, and build a foundation for future specialization.
  • Interact with various sector and product teams across the bank, both onshore and offshore.
  • Support senior bankers in origination and coverage efforts.
  • Ensure accurate calculations and analysis are provided.
  • Draft documentation, discussion materials, and pitchbooks.
  • Keep updated with compliance and DFSA license requirements.
  • Assist the team with administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to franchise-building activities and engage in regional networking and talent development offerings.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • A maximum of 12 months of prior experience in corporate finance, investment banking, and related fields.
  • Demonstrated track record in seeking out M&A, advisory, or capital markets experience through university societies, vacation projects, internships, etc.
  • Strong technical skills in financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation methodologies.
  • A conscientious and dedicated individual with excellent analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
  • Proficiency in financial analytics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A commercial instinct with a passion for finance and capital markets; familiarity with numbers.
  • Results-driven, performing well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
  • Strong academic record with a collaborative mindset.
  • Committed to excellence, maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
  • A postgraduate degree is required (minimum Honours level).
  • Academic focus on business-related fields or natural sciences, particularly finance, accounting, investment management, business administration, economics, mathematics, or engineering.
