Position

We are looking for an experienced IBM DataPower & IBM API Connect (APIC) Administrator to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing Production and UAT environments, administering enterprise API gateways, OpenShift deployments, and API security platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect (APIC) environments.
  • Manage Production and UAT environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot APIs and gateway services.
  • Perform migration of APIs and services from Virtual Machine (VM)-based environments to OpenShift.
  • Configure and manage API lifecycle, security policies, SSL certificates, gateway services, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams during deployments and release activities.
  • Monitor system health, perform performance tuning, and resolve production incidents.
  • Maintain operational documentation and adhere to ITIL best practices.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Akamai Noname API Security is mandatory. Candidates with strong experience in equivalent API security platforms (e.g., Salt Security, Traceable AI, or Imperva API Security) may also be considered.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect (APIC) administration.
  • Proven experience managing Production and UAT environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift and containerized deployments.
  • Experience migrating APIs and services from VM-based environments to OpenShift.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, API Security, OAuth, JWT, TLS, and SSL Certificates.
  • Good knowledge of Linux administration and networking concepts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on banking or financial services projects.
  • Experience with enterprise API management platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerized environments.
  • Relevant IBM or cloud certifications will be considered an advantage.
