Position

We are seeking an experienced IBM Guardium L2 Subject Matter Expert (SME) based in Riyadh to provide advanced support and administration of the Guardium environment. The specialist will manage day-to-day operations, handle complex issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across multiple database platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IBM Guardium administration, including policy management and agent deployment.
  • Strong understanding of database security concepts, database auditing, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with multiple database platforms (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, DB2, etc.) and associated security considerations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • IBM Guardium certifications or other relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and managing multiple Guardium instances.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 support by troubleshooting complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with IBM support when necessary.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Guardium environment, including patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Design, implement, and fine-tune Guardium policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS.
  • Create and manage custom reports, audit data, and compliance reports for internal and external audits.
  • Deploy and configure GIM and STAP agents across various database platforms, including Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, and DB2.
  • Manage Guardium users, roles, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with security and database teams to address vulnerabilities and recommend best practices.
  • Document processes, configurations, and procedures for operational consistency and audit readiness.
