Your Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver consulting assessments and workshops for IBM Z Systems.
- Execute implementation projects according to the Scope of Work while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Foster long-lasting relationships with clients and internal teams based on insights into their needs.
- Plan, install, implement, and integrate new and complex solutions related to IBM Z Systems.
- Document services engagement at either customer sites or IBM locations.
- Identify service engagement opportunities and define appropriate Scopes of Work.
- Drive demand for services and assets while generating follow-on business from successful client engagements.
- Maintain a proactive approach in developing services that meet emerging market needs.
- Attain high client satisfaction and create new client references through consistent and positive engagements.
- Continuously expand technical and client-facing skills to provide increased value to clients.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Engineering or Equivalent Degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in z/OS and z/VM.
- Experience in the installation, upgrade, configuration, and testing of IBM Z operating systems and related software.
- Understanding of z/OS high availability and Copy Services technologies.
- Deep skills in one or more of the following areas: Networking, Storage, Security, CICS, Linux, WebSphere MQ, DB2 plex, and z/VM system programming.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Experience in advising technical solution sales and performing solution integration.
- Basic RACF knowledge and knowledge of IBM System Automation and Red Hat Ansible is a plus.
