As an IBS RAN Planning and Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and revising complete IBS (In-Building Solution) / DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) designs submitted by vendors using planning tools such as iBwave, incorporated with capacity dimension.
- Performing link budget calculations, equipment dimensioning, and RF propagation analysis.
- Designing DAS architectures that include Passive, Active, and Hybrid systems.
- Collecting all document requirements from building owners to support survey and design.
- Conducting site surveys, walk tests, and building assessments to understand coverage needs and structural constraints.
- Participating in the acceptance process and collaborating with the deployment team to ensure implementation of IBS as per design.
- Supporting project managers in deployment timelines and resolving technical dependencies.
- Conducting post-installation optimization using walk test tools.
- Validating designs through simulation results, signal predictions, and walk test benchmarking.
- Analyzing indoor KPIs and troubleshooting issues related to coverage, interference, throughput, and latency.
- Taking optimization actions to enhance IBS coverage and performance.

Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in IBS (In-Building Solutions) and DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) design and deployment.
- Strong background in general RF engineering, mobile network design, and optimization.
- Experience working with telecom vendors, system integrators, or operators.
- Proficient in designing and revising IBS/DAS systems (Passive, Active, and Hybrid architectures), with a preference for iBwave Certification (Level 2/Level 3).
- Solid understanding of link budget calculations, RF propagation modeling, and equipment dimensioning (antennas, splitters, couplers, POIs, RRUs, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with SSV review, WT benchmarking, and optimization actions.
