Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and commission Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) and excitation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in Static Frequency Converter (SFC) systems used for gas turbine starting.
- Test and commission generator protection relays, including Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi Energy, and SEL.
- Troubleshoot generator control panels, synchronization systems, PLC logic, alarms, interlocks, and DCS interfaces.
- Support generator overhauls, rehabilitation, retrofit, and modernization projects.
- Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
- Prepare technical reports, conduct root-cause analysis, and coordinate with customers and OEM engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in power generation electrical and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with turbo-generator AVR/excitation, generator protection, and/or SFC systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning skills.
- Experience with gas turbine, steam turbine, or combined-cycle power plants is preferred.
- OEM experience with Mitsubishi Electric, GE Vernova, Siemens Energy, or ABB/Hitachi Energy is an advantage.
- Excellent technical communication and reporting skills in English.
- Willingness to travel frequently for regional field assignments.
