About the Role
An In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Shop Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft cabin entertainment and communication hardware components within a specialized workshop. Responsibilities

  • Perform all required IFE maintenance activities ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and relevant technical data to optimize serviceability of aircraft IFE components to support operational requirements.
  • Test and fix faulty IFE components such as seatback screens, handsets, seat boxes, and servers.
  • Troubleshoot issues, run diagnostic software tests, and complete detailed maintenance documentation.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and timely in accordance with current company procedures.
  • Carry out maintenance work in compliance with company, health and safety, and airport procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure that the latest revision and approved maintenance data is used during maintenance.
  • Account for and secure all material, tools, and maintenance equipment before and after work shifts.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with superiors.
  • Ensure equipment and premises utilized by maintenance staff are in a serviceable, clean, and safe condition.
  • Accept appropriate training to enhance effectiveness in the role.
  • Wear provided company equipment for health and safety reasons and to promote the corporate image, as necessary.
  • Ensure all work performed at the facility complies with company processes and procedures and is conducted safely.
  • Document work accomplished in accordance with customer requirements and station procedures.
  • Work independently and also collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be proactively involved in all Health and Safety matters.

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or Degree in avionics, electronics, or aviation maintenance.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in avionics aircraft or avionics component shop maintenance.
