About the Role
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, stress analysis, and structural development of high-precision inertial systems. This role focuses on 3D CAD modeling, heat transfer management, and geometric tolerancing to ensure the structural integrity, performance, and reliability of high-precision housings, structural mounts, and mechanical assemblies for next-generation inertial solutions (including IMUs, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and integrated navigation systems).

What You Will Do

  • Mechanical Design & Modeling: Assist in 3D CAD modeling and detailed engineering drawing generation using Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD software). Support the design of compact enclosures, internal chassis, and mounting interfaces for sensitive inertial sensors.
  • Stress & Thermal Analysis: Perform basic stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity, material deformation, load paths, and safety factors under dynamic and static loads. Apply principles of engineering dynamics to assess structural performance and mechanical response. Apply heat transfer principles and thermal management techniques (conductive cooling, heat sinks, and thermal interface materials) to maintain sensor stability across operating temperature ranges.
  • Manufacturing & GD&T: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise alignment and repeatable assembly on technical drawings. Perform basic tolerance stack-up analyses to evaluate critical fits and sensor alignment tolerances. Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) considerations for common production methods (such as CNC machining).
  • Prototyping, Validation & Testing: Support building, evaluating, and iterating physical prototypes. Assist in validating structural stress models and thermal performance during lab testing and hardware evaluation.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: This role is open to Saudi Nationals in line with local employment regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a strictly related engineering field.
  • SCE Membership: Engineer membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (Engineer Grade category) is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience: Fresh Graduate (0–2 years of experience). Academic project work or internship experience in mechanical design is a plus.
  • Technical Skills 3D CAD Software: Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, with Autodesk Inventor being strongly favorable (Required).
  • Stress & FEA Analysis: Basic knowledge of stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, or open source softwares) is recommended.
  • Engineering Fundamentals: Solid grasp of engineering dynamics, statics, and heat transfer principles (Required).
  • GD&T & Drafting: Basic understanding of GD&T principles and technical drawing standards is required.
  • Manufacturing: Knowledge of manufacturing considerations (e.g., CNC machining, 3D Printing) is required.
  • Thermal Management: Knowledge of thermal management techniques for enclosures is recommended.

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Self-starter with strong quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a proactive, initiative-taking attitude.
  • Ability to communicate proactively across teams and perform under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a growing high-tech product company.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Very good command of English (written and spoken).
