In this role, you will oversee Dry-Utilities information systems, plan IT activities, and ensure data is secure and accessible. Key responsibilities include:
- System Implementation and Maintenance: Planning and directing the installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and other systems. This includes performing diagnostics and restoring system operations when issues arise.
- Security and Risk Management: Establishing and maintaining processes to protect against IT security threats, managing data protection, and reducing the risk of legal or financial penalties from data breaches.
- Team and Vendor Management: Planning and directing the work of IT staff, including analysts and developers, and negotiating with vendors to ensure high-quality performance.
- Process and Procedure Development: Designing procedures for employees to follow for common IT issues to reduce support requests and improve efficiency.
- Data Analysis and Governance: Analyzing data to identify trends and inefficiencies, creating code to protect data, and implementing data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security.
- Problem-solving and Communication: Troubleshooting computer system errors and using strong communication skills to interact with senior leaders, staff, and other departments.
- IT Strategy and Planning: Analyzing an organization's IT needs and developing plans to meet them, including recommending upgrades and assessing project costs and benefits.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science, or information technology.
- Proficiency in IT systems, data modeling, and experience with specific software, hardware, and query languages.
- Strong management skills to plan and direct the work of others, manage budgets, and negotiate with vendors.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze situations and choose appropriate solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
