The Information Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering enterprise-level IT support and maintenance of various IT services within the organization. This role involves leveraging engineering tools and processes to ensure effective installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of NTT infrastructure and systems. Working independently, the engineer will utilize troubleshooting skills to investigate and resolve medium- to complex-level issues.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain new hardware or software to provide new services or resolve user and system problems.
  • Troubleshoot and perform system analysis to resolve incidents and ensure system availability.
  • Conduct system administration tasks including configuration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Test and validate new systems to ensure they meet requested functionality and quality standards.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure required availability.
  • Execute system monitoring for proactive support by collecting availability, performance metrics, and system logs.
  • Perform hardware or software upgrades and patching to support vulnerability and risk management.
  • Define, raise, and execute changes as part of the Change Management Process.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for fixes, modifications, or other changes.
  • Manage tickets for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Request Fulfillment.
  • Document work results, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with vendors or other organizations to provide the necessary level of support.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of necessary infrastructure technology or software.
  • Familiarity with management tools and management languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, SQL).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting with a solid technical understanding.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of ITIL support processes (Incident, Change, and Request Management).
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to identify the best solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams from various business areas/functions to facilitate projects.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant certifications for the requested technology, such as CCNA, MCP, A+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified.

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an information technology environment.
