The Information Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering enterprise-level IT support and maintenance of various IT services within the organization. Key responsibilities include leveraging engineering tools and processes for effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of NTT infrastructure and systems. This role operates independently and employs troubleshooting skills to research and resolve medium- to complex-level issues.

What You'll Be Doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain new hardware or software to provide new services or resolve user and system problems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and system analysis to resolve incidents and ensure system availability.
  • Conduct system administration tasks including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Test and validate new systems to ensure they meet requested functionality and quality.
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure system availability.
  • Perform proactive system monitoring by collecting availability, performance metrics, and system logs.
  • Execute hardware or software upgrades and patching for vulnerability and risk management.
  • Create and manage documentation for system changes and issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors or delivery organizations for enhanced support.
  • Identify and document potential problems through the ticketing system, suggesting service improvements.
  • Manage tickets for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Request Fulfillment.
  • Document work results and actions taken in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with senior team members for guidance on working procedures and technical possibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure technology or software.
  • Proficiency with management tools and languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, SQL).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical understanding.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL Support processes (Incident, Change, Request Management).
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results effectively.
  • Experience in collaboration across various business areas/functions.
  • Capability to multitask and work independently under pressure.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCP, A+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified are preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the information technology environment.
