Position

As an Information Technology Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and updating IT policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with national frameworks and international standards such as COBIT, ISO 38500, and ITIL. Your role involves monitoring compliance with IT policies across all departments and providing corrective guidance as needed, preparing periodic compliance reports for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Governance & Compliance:

    • Develop and update IT policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Monitor compliance with IT policies and provide guidance.
    • Prepare compliance reports for senior leadership.
  2. Risk Management:

    • Identify, assess, and document IT risks in coordination with Cybersecurity, PMO, and operational teams.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
    • Continuously monitor risk levels and recommend necessary actions.
  3. IT Strategy & Portfolio Alignment:

    • Support the development and review of IT and Digital Transformation Strategies.
    • Evaluate IT projects for alignment with strategic goals.
    • Maintain policies for project management and other governance aspects.
  4. Quality & Performance:

    • Develop performance indicators (KPIs) for IT governance effectiveness.
    • Monitor and report on IT service performance and compliance.
    • Prepare performance dashboards for leadership.
  5. Documentation & Audits:

    • Maintain governance documentation including policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate with auditors for audit readiness.
    • Address audit findings and recommend process improvements.
  6. Digital Government Standards:

    • Ensure alignment with national digital government requirements.
    • Support teams in achieving compliance with digital initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in IT governance, compliance, or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 38500, ISO 27001, ISO 20000.
  • Knowledge of national cybersecurity and digital governance standards (NESA, TDRA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in drafting IT policies and governance documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing reports.

Preferred Certifications:

  • COBIT Foundation
  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
  • CGEIT or similar (added advantage)
