Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer

About the Job
We are seeking an Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role involves monitoring and analyzing network performance with a focus on availability, throughput, and latency, while taking necessary actions to enhance these factors. The engineer will troubleshoot network issues and communicate with vendors when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment and applications, including endpoint security and firewalls.
• Maintaining a strong understanding of IP Telephony.
• Ensuring high levels of systems and infrastructure availability through proactive measures.
• Installing, configuring, testing, and managing application software and system management tools.
• Implementing security tools to safeguard against external threats.
• Managing user accounts and administering permissions for employees in designated systems and servers.
• Overseeing internal IT backups (system, server, and individual data) and disaster recovery strategies.
• Analyzing user requirements and troubleshooting network and system problems.
• Designing a complete network layout for new infrastructure setups.
• Setting up and configuring servers and virtual machines, along with managing on-premises and cloud storage systems.
• Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Performing system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Conducting training sessions for users on various IT tools and systems.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and IT security standards.
• Maintaining an inventory of IT assets and managing stock levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in an IT Infrastructure or similar role.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting and advanced network concepts.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, or Windows Server Certification are a plus.

Work Environment
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional on-site support as needed. It may require lifting and transporting IT equipment.
