Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment and applications, including endpoint security and firewalls.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of IP Telephony.
- Ensuring high levels of systems and infrastructure availability through proactive measures.
- Installing, configuring, testing, and managing application software and system management tools.
- Implementing security tools to safeguard against external threats.
- Managing user accounts and administering permissions for employees in designated systems and servers.
- Overseeing internal IT backups (system, server, and individual data) and disaster recovery strategies.
- Analyzing user requirements and troubleshooting network and system problems.
- Designing a complete network layout for new infrastructure setups.
- Setting up and configuring servers and virtual machines, along with managing on-premises and cloud storage systems.
- Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Performing system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Conducting training sessions for users on various IT tools and systems.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and IT security standards.
- Maintaining an inventory of IT assets and managing stock levels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in an IT Infrastructure or similar role.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and advanced network concepts.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, or Windows Server Certification are a plus.
Work Environment
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional on-site support as needed. It may require lifting and transporting IT equipment.
