As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, responsibilities will encompass the administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex systems built on both traditional and cloud-based environments. You will support various deployed systems, work on multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate closely with colleagues across departments. Additionally, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of IT services and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day Tier 2 & 3 technical support for infrastructure systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and Horizon View.
- Administer Windows Server systems (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File/Print Servers), Linux-based environments, and Microsoft O365 services.
- Optimize backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Veritas Enterprise Vault).
- Support SharePoint services, ensuring document collaboration and access controls.
- Perform proactive infrastructure health checks, apply patches and updates, and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new IT solutions and cloud integrations (e.g., Azure, AWS, GC).
- Ensure compliance with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and processes.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in system architecture, deployment, maintenance, and managed services support.
- Proven expertise in virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Horizon View).
- Experience with core Microsoft infrastructure components (Active Directory, O365, Exchange, and SharePoint).
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Veritas Enterprise Vault).
- Strong knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
