Role Overview
The IT Infrastructure Lead will manage:
- Networking: Configuring local networks, including switch and VLAN setups to ensure seamless connectivity between capture devices, processing PCs, and file servers. Managing internet connectivity and Azure cloud services.
- On-Premises Resources: Overseeing the setup and maintenance of on-premises processing PCs and file servers to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Cloud Resources: Handling configuration and integration of Azure cloud resources as required.
Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Management: Lead the specification, configuration, and maintenance of all on-premises IT infrastructure.
- Project Involvement: Initially required full-time during equipment purchasing, setup, and build phases, with potential for part-time or shared responsibilities once the infrastructure is established. Ongoing maintenance and support will be essential to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in architecting and specifying IT solutions in a production or studio environment. Extensive experience with Microsoft-based on-premises hardware and software, including Windows PCs and Active Directory services.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in networking, including VLAN and switch configurations, along with familiarity with Azure cloud services and their integration with on-premises infrastructure.
Key Involvement Areas
- Setup and Launch Preparation: Active involvement in setup and launch preparation phases, including configuration of file servers, processing farms, local network infrastructure, and Azure storage resources.
- Ongoing Support: Providing on-call IT support and maintenance to ensure the infrastructure remains operational and meets organizational needs.
