Accenture Technology is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer with 5 years of experience to join our IT team as an Infrastructure Engineering Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of systems and networks. Your responsibilities will include support for both on-premises and cloud environments, contributing to infrastructure projects, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.
- Support cloud-based (e.g., AWS, Azure) and on-premises environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and reliability across the infrastructure.
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrade and migration projects.
- Provide support during off-hours for critical incidents or maintenance as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure engineering or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiar with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with monitoring tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery practices.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
