Position Overview
The Civil Engineering (Infrastructure) Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the physical infrastructure supporting our systems adheres to local regulations and meets project requirements. This role involves oversight of construction, site preparation, and the resolution of structural challenges during deployment. Reporting to the Hardware lead, the Civil Engineering Specialist ensures seamless collaboration between internal teams, partners, and local authorities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local construction and zoning regulations for all physical infrastructure, including camera mounting, cabling routes, and cabinet installation.
- Oversee site preparation and the installation of equipment, ensuring that all physical infrastructure is aligned with system requirements and project goals.
- Prepare and provide detailed documentation outlining civil engineering requirements, with an emphasis on securing final approval from local entities and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with partners and internal teams to address civil and structural challenges, ensuring smooth deployment of infrastructure.
- Oversee civil infrastructure change management processes, ensuring proper documentation, testing, and approval workflows are followed.
- Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure the quality and durability of all physical installations meet established standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven 5 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, particularly in technology or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of local construction regulations, zoning laws, and approval processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills to address on-site challenges effectively.
- Proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English languages.
Work Conditions
- Employment Type: Full-time onsite in Astana office.
