Responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
- Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, and international best practices.
- Reporting any contractor work that does not comply with approved drawings and specifications to stakeholders for appropriate action.
- Monitoring the quality of work and assessing safety on-site, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety assessments concerning health and environmental issues.
- Maintaining records of daily site activities, including progress photos, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as required.
- Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies observed on-site and issuing non-conformance reports (NCR) as necessary.
- Checking and ensuring effective coordination between discipline-related works and all other disciplines.
- Providing technical input and expertise to resolve any discipline-related challenges that may arise on-site.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in the civil engineering field.
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience working on large-scale building projects within the UAE.
