Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Be aware of requirements specified in the Contract Documents.
- Provide advice on constructional matters.
- Inspect operation, maintenance, and construction (including temporary works) to ensure compliance with approved methods, maintenance programs, and Contract requirements.
- Maintain records of inspections and work executed.
- Assist in or measure work done as required.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Assist in the preparation of "As-built" drawings and inspection of completed works.
- Prepare snag lists and handover documentation to the operating authority.
- Ensure performance of work in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Maintain a detailed diary of daily work activities and issues.
- Interface with the public to mitigate construction impacts.
- Coordinate with the Contractor’s engineers and foremen for proper execution of work.
- Coordinate with the Materials Inspector for quality assurance and testing.
- Collaborate with Surveyors for conformance checking of completed work.
- Report any non-conformance or issues to the appropriate authorities.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in the operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical assets, lighting systems, fountains, and pumping stations related to large garden and street landscape areas.
- UAE experience is a must.
- Equivalency certificate is required.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience on Operation & Maintenance projects is preferred.
- Good command of English and Arabic communication.
