Inspector - Electromechanical (O&M)

The company is looking for an amazingly talented Electro-mechanical Inspector to join our Operations & Maintenance team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Be aware of requirements specified in the Contract Documents.
• Provide advice on constructional matters.
• Inspect operation, maintenance, and construction, including temporary works, to ensure compliance with approved methods, maintenance programs, and contract requirements.
• Maintain records of inspections and work executed.
• Measure work completed when required by Assistant Resident Engineers (AREs) and Resident Engineers (RE).
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship.
• Assist in the preparation of “As-built” drawings and inspect completed works.
• Prepare snag lists and hand over to the operating authority.
• Ensure performance aligns with plans and specifications.
• Maintain a detailed diary of daily work activities and issues.
• Interface with the public to mitigate construction impacts.
• Coordinate daily with the Contractor’s engineers and foremen to advise on proper work execution.
• Collaborate with Materials Inspector for sampling and testing of completed work.
• Check lines and grades of completed work for compliance with plans.
• Report questionable methods of operation or failures to conform to plans and specifications.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in infrastructure projects, especially in operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical assets, lighting systems, fountains, and pumping stations related to large gardens and streetscapes.
• UAE experience is a must.
• Equivalency certificate is required.

Desired Skills:

• Prior experience on Operation & Maintenance projects is preferred.
• Good command of English and Arabic communication.
