About the Role
The Inspector – Mechanical (Rotating) will be responsible for ensuring that the installation and inspection of rotating equipment on site complies with relevant standards, specifications, and procedures. This role necessitates a detailed understanding of industry standards and practices, including but not limited to API RP 686. The Inspector will work closely with construction contractors to monitor activities, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with all quality procedures and safety requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge in API RP 686
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical
- Preferable API SIRE (Source Inspector Rotating Equipment) or equivalent
- Familiar with equipment installation practices e.g. API RP 686
- Shall have sound knowledge in Rotating Equipment installation work
- Shall have sound knowledge in Rotating Equipment installation codes and standards
- 10 years minimum experience in inspection during installation of Rotating Equipment on site
- Proficient in Windows Operating system and MS Office – Word, Excel
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Primary Functions:
- Comply with Client lifesaving rules and DPE HSE requirements
- Witness and monitor construction contractor Rotating Equipment activities, inspections, and tests in accordance with approved ITP, Quality procedures, and method statements
- Ensure construction contractors have relevant, up-to-date standards, specifications, procedures, and drawings
- Ensure testing and measuring devices are calibrated as per relevant specifications
- Participate in receiving inspections of Rotating Equipment on site, if required
- Attend the Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
- Review construction contractor quality records
- Raise punch items and verify them once work is completed
- Issue and follow-up on Non-conformance reports
Technical Expertise:
- Sound knowledge of international standards for Rotating Equipment installation
- Strong technical skill and judgment
- Strong understanding of site activities related to Rotating Equipment installation
- Familiar with equipment installation practices e.g. API RP 686
