Roles & Responsibilities:
Site Supervision:
- Accountable for safety, quality, and productivity during installation and handovers, addressing any detected non-conformities.
- Ensure correct installation methods and tools are used and conduct risk assessments for non-feasible methods.
- Proactively manage site readiness, customer deliverables, and audits, resolving non-conformities with customers when needed.
- Verify site execution plans and field cost management, maintaining realistic material delivery schedules (MS 3c) throughout the S-plan.
- Actively support the Project Manager and Project Admin with payment status verification according to S-plan concepts and contract terms.
- Plan and organize installation activities, site storage, logistics, and the necessary resources and tools.
- Manage material requests, confirm arrivals of materials, and perform Goods Receipts.
- Conduct handovers to installation teams, clarifying work scope and milestones.
- Facilitate continuous huddles to empower the installation team and ensure smooth workflows with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction.
- Achieve targets for variation sales and change orders during installation while ensuring cost claims are collected.
- Verify installation quality and ensure completion of scope of work, responsible for final testing and successful maintenance handover.
- Handle quality claims, timesheet approvals, installation documentation, and reporting on installation progress and changes.
- Manage environmental aspects related to installation (waste and hazardous material handling).
Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary contact for site management, ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive communication and professional processes.
- Manage multiple customers/projects across different locations effectively.
People, Leadership, and Subcontractor Relations:
- Ensure that installers and contractors are trained, certified, and capable of performing installation tasks.
- Maintain site operatives’ safety, motivation, and well-being while developing team performance.
- Identify training needs for installation operatives and communicate those to line managers, HR, and other relevant partners.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with subcontractor teams to ensure delivery of commitments.
Continual Improvement:
- Follow and improve standard ways of working according to LEAN principles, motivating the team to identify waste and improvements.
- Coach the installation team to enhance their standard working practices.
- Share opportunities and improvement ideas while applying LEAN tools.
- Promote success stories and recognize efforts driving continuous improvement.
Are You the One?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with elevators and escalators, demonstrating a successful track record in a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage on-site teams.
- Customer-centric with excellent communication skills.
- Comprehensive health and safety knowledge is essential.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is an advantage.
