About the Role
In this position, you will direct and lead specialist training functions while conducting training in support of TSI. This role requires you to ensure the welfare of students during training and monitor their performance to help them achieve their training objectives. You will also be responsible for delivering common modules, conducting analysis and delivery of training courses, and developing training materials to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead specialist training functions and conduct specialist training in support of TSI.
  • Ensure the general welfare of students during training activities and monitor their performance.
  • Teach common modules in courses or other modules related to your specialty.
  • Conduct analysis, design, production, and development of new and existing training courses to align with customer needs.
  • Research, write, and validate advanced training notes.
  • Deliver or supervise practical-based OJT/training consolidation.
  • Provide specialist training inputs to the bidding process in response to customer inquiries and training proposals.
  • Specify, design, and develop effective training aids, including computer-aided instruction and advanced desktop training systems.
  • Produce training support materials, including curriculum, training objectives, syllabuses, course plans, and evaluation methods.
  • Maintain technical expertise to ensure compatibility with advances and current needs.
  • Conduct cadet assessment and evaluation exercises and implement remedial actions.
  • Plan, control, and deliver assigned courses and contribute to cross-discipline courses/investigations.
  • Counsel students regarding their academic performance or behavior as required.
  • Ensure cadets’ weekly reports are completed and submitted.
  • Document necessary work, including attendance, progress reports, lesson plans, and cadets’ portfolios.
  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Review the ECT courseware for improvements.
  • Maintain classroom procedures as published in the TSI, including discipline maintenance.
  • Stay updated on developments in your subject and attend staff development courses as required.
  • Possess a detailed understanding of complex and integrated systems to teach maintenance procedures, fault diagnosis, and defect rectification.
  • Operate complex training aids and simulators safely and effectively.
  • Demonstrate supervisory ability within an operational training environment.
  • Show sound business awareness and good interpersonal skills across diverse cultures and technical abilities.
  • Be well motivated, adaptable, and flexible to operate in a complex technical environment with minimal supervision.
  • Understand requirements to meet internal and external customer expectations.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills and knowledge of relevant analytical techniques.
  • Apply internal and external processes and procedures for yourself and others.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of IT systems supporting training (computer-aided instruction, desktop publishing, etc.).
  • Demonstrate well-developed planning and organizing skills to meet training program timelines.
  • Use the TMIS/LMS system to maintain accurate and accessible training records.

  • Plan and coordinate necessary technical information to support course material delivery according to current documents and procedures.
  • Perform any other reasonable and appropriate duties as required by the business.

Job Requirements
Essential:

  • University degree in Electronics Communication or graduation from an advanced military trade school, industrial equivalency, or relevant educational establishment, with at least 5 years of practical experience across the full range of Electronics Communication Technology.
  • Must possess an in-date IELTS certificate with a minimum overall score of 5.0, including speaking and listening band scores of 5.0, achieved within the last 2 years if a non-native speaker.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching/instructional experience within the last 6 years, supported by formal certificates.

Desirable:

  • Completed an accredited instructional techniques course.
  • Knowledge and experience in City & Guilds Education and Training L2.
  • L3 Assessor qualification (TAQA).
  • Hands-on experience in electronics and communications laboratories.
