Position

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services. Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions:

  • Up to 100% work from home
  • Travel: 25-50%

Responsibilities:

  • Project management of all integration and fit-out activities associated with MSFT owned systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Identify and manage scopes and interdependencies between all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the handover process and ensure documentation and expectations are met.
  • Produce and manage project plans and execute major milestones on Microsoft lease projects.
  • Advocate for managing a safe worksite and support the implementation of the Microsoft High Risk Activity program.
  • Collaborate with the Data Center Engineering team to review and execute designs.
  • Manage vendor selection, contracting, and integration of multiple vendors and internal partners.
  • Report project progress on scope, schedule, and budget as required.
  • Track lessons learned and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND extensive experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in construction health & safety and managing multiple large projects.
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct in support of the DCD Project.
  • Willingness to travel 25-50%.
