Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of designers and developers on internal and external APIs within the projects.
- Participate in solution discussions with the team’s Designers and Architects.
- Provide periodic status updates (daily, weekly, monthly) to project managers and participate in daily technical status meetings.
- Support project’s end-to-end testing activities to ensure implementation compliance with design.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Integration including API Development with hands-on experience in API Management Solutions.
- Fluent in English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with API development teams on large-scale projects with hands-on experience implementing enterprise-level APIs for large-scale organizations using APIGEE.
- Extensive experience with APIGEE Policies related to Security, Throttling, Data Transformation, etc.
- Strong experience and understanding of API Security protocols such as Basic Auth, oAuth2 flows, SSL Mutual Authentication, etc., and their implementation on APIGEE.
- Experience with JavaScript scripts and their usage within APIGEE.
- Strong understanding of API Design with hands-on experience in designing and writing API Specs and Design Documents.
- Clear understanding of both APIGEE on-premise and cloud infrastructure and components.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful API methodologies and principles with strong knowledge and experience in REST, JSON, as well as experience with SOAP and XML.
- Must have experience and a clear understanding of OpenAPI (Swagger) specification.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and networking requirements related to API and services exposure.
- Working knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
- Previous experience working with Design/Development Governance Principles and Guidelines.
- Previous experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with API Management Tools (APIGEE, SoftwareAG, IBM) or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with TMForums OpenAPIs or similar industry-wide OpenAPI Specifications.
- Familiarity with APIGEE on-premise DevPortal and multi-tenancy.
- Familiarity with other Google Cloud Products and Technologies.
