Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Agile engineering practices and various software and mobile development technologies to develop solutions that enhance customer and employee experiences.
- Collaborate with teams to create user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and deliver continuous product enhancements.
- Coordinate with other teams within and outside the Digital unit to negotiate timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Designers, and team members to identify and communicate product and delivery risks.
- Promote best practice engineering processes and Agile methodologies among team members.
- Communicate Agile processes to business stakeholders to manage expectations regarding delivery methods and timelines.
- Drive initiatives in automation, including continuous integration and deployment.
Skills Required:
- Strong passion for development and a commitment to continual learning.
- Proficient in pair programming, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
- Familiarity with functional programming and microservices is advantageous.
- Contributions to the community through open source work or technical publications are a plus.
- Must be a change agent who challenges the status quo.
- Fluent in English.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in Java, with knowledge of Spring, J2EE, and Hibernate.
- Experience integrating into enterprise service buses (DataPower experience is beneficial).
- Proficient in crafting custom SOAP messages.
- Experience with ELK stack and logstash is beneficial.
- Relevant technology diploma or degree.
- Knowledge in code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, and building highly scalable applications.
